Today I went on the Five Valleys walk, which is held annually, in aid of the Meningitis Trust (which is a local charity. It was started twenty-something years ago, when there was an outbreak of meningitis in the area, by a group of mothers, which included my former RE teacher). I managed 13 or so miles out of the total 21, missing out the nasty hill at the start, and the long flat bit at the end. Next year, I hope to do all of it, and be sponsored for it.
